Women's Ministry Summer Bible Study

Womens Summer Bible Study
I just wanted to let all of you know since we had such a great time last summer, we are planning on doing a summer drop-in style Women's bible study open to all women! Tanya Wyma and Karen Rissmann will be facilitating the study and it will meet in the church courtyard (unless it rains and we will move inside) on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:15 a.m. starting June 7. The study we will be doing is a Fruit of the Spirit on Peace. Jennie is working hard at finding childcare as we plan on having it available for anybody who would like to participate. Please invite anyone you think might be interested. We will make books available for pick up at Lifeway, but please feel free to come any if you haven't picked up a book. To help us accommodate book orders and childcare numbers please contact Kara at evan42dk@yahoo.com if you have need of either or if you have questions

OIn Sunday, May 23, Pastor Keith begins a series of three messages titled "What I believe." The messages will teach the basics of the Christian faith as summarized in first question and answer of the Heidelberg Catechism (May 13 & 20, June 10). Pastor Steve is preaching on Pentecost Sunday, May 27. Kari is preaching on June 3. On Father's Day, June 17, Pastor Keith begins a series of eight messages on the petitions of the Lord's Prayer.

Parents

If you ask yourself, “How can I grow as a parent and strengthen my family’s relationship with Christ and other families?” you’re asking a great question! Did you know individuals primarily gain their faith through their family? This is why Family Ministries equips parents, teaches youth and children, and helps families become a beacon of Christ’s light by teaching what it means to follow Christ, to know the Bible, and to love God.

More than 85% of all Christians have made the choice to follow Christ before the age of 18. Therefore, touching these kids lives before graduating high school increase the chances of them developing a relationship with Christ.

Because of the essential role families have in one’s spiritual formation, we collaborate with parents as they help shape their children’s faith. This is why we continually develop programs to empower the family to do this God-given work. We help parents articulate their faith so that they might pass it on. This means a focus on strengthening the high quality programming we provide as well as creating new programs that strengthen parents and families.

All Church Wednesday Night Dinners ( Call the church office 466-0305 )
Open	Quall Hall	Wednesdays 5:45 pm
This church-wide dinner is open to all ages on Wednesday evenings from 5:45-6:25 pm in Quall Hall beginning Septmeber 22, 2010. and will continue through May 2011. This is a great opportunity to make new relationships or renew old ones. Call the chruch office for reservations.

This group meets weekly from September through June. Anyone can come to be prayed for or to participate in prayer.
Men's Ministry Breakfast ( Brad Paulsen )

This open large group meet once a month for fellowship, good food and a guest speaker. Men of all ages are welcomed to come. Reservations are appreciated by calling the church office.
Alpha Group ( Deb and Cliff Garrison )
Open	Room under the Chancel in the Sanctuary	Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 pm
This group is open to all ages of men and women studying Alpha curriculum. Beginning in the fall of 2010. Childcare is provided. For registration, contact the chruch office.
Kid's Club Small Group Leader ( Christie Malave 466-0305 )
Open	WCPC	Wednesday Evenings
We have an opportunity for adults on Wednesday evenings at Kids’ Club. Our hope is to connect these kids to the larger church through the missions of our church. With this in mind, we would love to have the kids interact with more adults in our church. We’re looking for 3 volunteers with a heart to build small group relationships with elementary kids and can be committed to come most Wednesday nights. We’re also looking for 4 or 5 volunteers interested in helping occasionally or for a portion of the evening.

Come and join our group of women & men who plan and prepare food for special events and ongoing monthly & weekly church dinners. With several events to choose from, one would surely fit your schedule.
